Every year Pekin Lions give away between 400 to 425 baskets of food to needy families in the Pekin area.
These "baskets" consist of 2 boxes of food. Examples of items that these boxes might contain:

| 1 Frozen Chicken | 1 dozen eggs | Cake mix |
| 5# bag of potatoes | 5# bag of apples | Icing |
| Multiple cans of vegetables | Macaroni & Cheese | Other Assorted Dry Goods |
